LYNDON VALICENTI
founding principal, daylight
Pronouns: She/Her
Lyndon Valicenti has over 15+ years of cross-sector experience leading planning, policy, and research initiatives on social and environmental issues, from climate resilience to equitable community development. She works to build the capacity of partners in the philanthropic, public, and non-profit sectors to better understand root causes, navigate complexity, and drive systems change.
Systems design
Lyndon’s company Daylight works with changemakers to amplify their power for systems change. The team aims to collectively and strategically intervene in the practices, policies, dynamics, and mindsets that hold complex challenges in place. Their vision is to see more changemakers intervening in systems to realize just, equitable, and resilient outcomes.
Pandemic project
In 2020, Daylight partnered with KABOOM! — a national non-profit working to end playspace inequity — in a journey to evolve their community engagement model to better align with their racial equity values. Through a deeply collaborative process, the team was not only able to develop and pilot a new community design and build process, but also able to surface the root causes of playspace inequity, co-define new organizational norms, restructure project staffing, and forge new evaluation and accountability methods.
